The Leica Online Ballistic Calculator is now available forimmediate use on your smartphone. Use the Leica Hunting App tocreate and store your personal ballistic profiles and choose yourammunition for it from a database with over 4,500 entries. You caneasily transfer the profile you use to your Leica Rangefinder. Addcontent like your name, the ammunition you use and your weapon toyour ballistic profile. This gives you a permanent and perfectoverview of your hunting equipment. Use the Leica Hunting App toconveniently programme your Leica Rangefinder from your smartphone.Select all available settings and effortlessly transfer your datavia Bluetooth. The following device settings can be convenientlyselected on the display of your smartphone: - Metric / imperialunits - Desired ballistic profile - Zeroing range - Ballisticsettings - Display brightness With only one touch of a button, allyour settings will be transferred and saved to your LeicaRangefinder. In addition to this, you can choose from fourdifferent sub-items under the menu item Ballistic: First create andsave your desired profile. If you create a profile for each weaponyou use, you will no longer need to change the parameters in yourprofile, and can select and transfer the profile you need while outhunting. To avoid any mistakes or uncertainties, the LeicaRangefinder shows you the most recently transferred profile at thepress of a button. The Ballistic menu contains the followingoptions: - Standard: Choose one of the 12 pre-programmed EU 1–EU 12curves, or let the system recommend the most suitable curve -Database: Create a new curve with the aid of the more than 4,500entries in our database. Select your calibre, the manufacturer andthe bullet - Own: For absolute precision, create your own,fully-personalised, ballistic curve using the bullet weight, bulletvelocity, ballistic coefficients, elevation, barometric pressure,zeroing distance, ambient temperature and the reticle height -Kestrel: Connect your Rangefinder with a Kestrel Elite WeatherMeter to gain full access to ‘Applied Ballistics’ – thecorresponding correction values will also be displayed on thescreen of your Rangefinder. All relevant menu items will bedemonstrated and explained to you in the course of a shortintroductory tour.
